Draft — pending legal review. This is a plain-English working draft for the SkinOracle waitlist. It will be reviewed by counsel before launch.

Privacy policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

SkinOracle is building a skincare companion that puts you first, and that starts with how we handle your information. This policy covers only the waitlist on this website. The app will have its own, more detailed policy (including a consumer health data section) before it launches.

The short version

  • We collect your email, and anything else you choose to tell us on the form. We never ask for health information on the waitlist.
  • We use it only to tell you about early access and to understand who SkinOracle is for.
  • We never sell it. We never share it for advertising.
  • Email us and we’ll delete it. That’s it.

What we collect

InformationRequired?Why
Email addressYesTo email you about early access and the beta.
First nameOptionalSo our emails can say hello properly.
“What’s happening in your life?” choiceOptionalA broad, non-health choice (for example “Busy season”) so we know what to build first and can send relevant updates.
Your consent choiceYesA record that you asked us to email you.
Referrer and campaign tags (for example utm_source)AutomaticTo know which posts or links brought you here, so we can do more of what helps.
Your personal invite link (a short random code)AutomaticSo friends you choose to invite can join with your link, and so we can count them for your thank-you perks.
Who invited you, stored only as their link codeOnly if you joined with a friend’s linkTo count you once toward their perks. We never show them your email or name, and we never show you theirs.
How many friends joined with your linkAutomaticTo know when you’ve reached a perk (3 friends: early beta access; 5 friends: your name in the app’s credits, only if you say yes).
Sign-up date and timeAutomaticRecord keeping.
Technical logs (such as IP address and browser type)AutomaticKept by our providers, Cloudflare and Supabase, to deliver the site, keep it secure and stop abuse. We don’t use them to profile you.

“What’s happening in your life?” is a broad category you pick yourself, such as “Getting married”, “Busy season” or “Life is changing”. None of the choices are about health. Please don’t send us medical or health details on the waitlist. We don’t need them, and the app asks those questions on your phone instead.

Inviting friends

After you join, you get a personal link you can share if you want to. Sharing is up to you: use the copy button or your phone’s own share menu. We never ask for your contacts, and we never send messages for you.

  • When a friend joins with your link, we store your link’s code next to their sign-up. That’s how we count them. Each friend counts once.
  • Your friend never sees your email or name on our site, and you never see theirs. You can only see how many friends joined.
  • Perks are early beta access (3 friends) and your name in the app’s credits (5 friends, only if you say yes). They have no cash value.
  • If you ask us to delete your information, your links are deleted too. Friends who joined with them stay on the list, without any record of who invited them.

In the app: product and usage information (not personal)

To build the most useful guide to which skincare products actually work, the SkinOracle app shares information about products, never about you:

  • Product details: the barcode, name, brand, type, size and ingredients, a cropped photo of the product (never of a person) and the text on its label.
  • How products are used: when a product is added, opened, used (the date and hour of each use), paused, finished, bought again or stopped, and a reason if you choose one.
  • Phone model: for example “iPhone 16 Pro”, and its iOS version.

This information is sent without your name, email, account, phone serial number or any other identifier, so it isn’t linked to who you are. We combine it with information from other members to learn which products people keep using and which they give up, and we may share or sell these product insights. Your personal information (your profile, skin details, check-ins, notes and face scans) is never part of it, and face scans never leave your phone.

You can turn this off any time in the app: You › Privacy › “Share anonymous product data”.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell or rent your personal information, ever. (Product and usage information that isn’t linked to you is described above.)
  • We don’t use advertising trackers, tracking pixels or third-party cookies on this site.
  • We don’t let brands pay for access to you.

Analytics

Right now this site uses no analytics. If we add page statistics later, we will use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) that does not track you across sites, and we’ll update this page first.

Where it’s stored

Waitlist sign-ups are stored in a database run by our provider Supabase, hosted in the United States. Access is limited to the SkinOracle team. The website itself is served by Cloudflare. Both act as our service providers and may only process data on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Until the app launches and early access is over, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. We’ll ask before moving you from the waitlist to anything else.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe any time using the link in any email.
  • Access, correct or delete your information: email hello@skinoracle.ai from the address you signed up with. We’ll confirm within 30 days, usually much sooner.
  • Depending on where you live (for example California, Washington or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights. We honor them for everyone.

Children

The SkinOracle waitlist is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, email us and we will delete it. A future Teen mode (13–17) will only launch after a separate legal and privacy review.

Not medical advice

SkinOracle offers wellness guidance, not medical advice. It never diagnoses. We’re building it to tell you clearly when something is worth showing a doctor.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and for anything significant, we’ll email you first. Questions? hello@skinoracle.ai.
